The hospital café closes from 9 pm to 6 am because it’s not feasible to hire a late-night staff. This leaves the overnight hospital care team without access to fresh food.

Solution

The manager launched a FoodSpot smart fridge in the dining room to feed the overnight staff and act as a line-buster during peak periods.

Result

“I’ve received hundreds of emails thanking me for implementing this,” says the cafe manager. The smart fridge makes a healthy profit for the cafe with peak sales times during late-night hours. Other departments are looking into adding a smart fridge in their wing as well.
